The Maryland District Amateur Athletic Union (MD AAU) is proud to recognize Mr. McCarroll Nole, former MD AAU District Lt. Governor, former Golf Sports Director, and current District Staff Writer, on the publication of his third book, Son of Gubala!
Nole's latest work is an exciting murder mystery filled with danger, deceit, intrigue, espionage, plot twists, and suspense!
Set against the backdrop of Snow Hill on Maryland's Eastern Shore, Son of Gubala follows a newly formed cold case unit as investigators pursue the murder of a small art gallery's co-owner and the theft of million-dollar paintings known as the Gubala paintings. Their investigation leads them to Berlin, a secret society, and an international smuggling ring.
At the heart of the story is Benno Gubala, who witnessed his father's murder and the theft of his paintings when he was just nine years old. In the years that followed, Benno endured accusations that he had lied about what he saw, while his family suffered the loss of its wealth and business. Now, the questions remain: Will Benno avenge his father's death, recover the stolen artwork, and restore his family's fortune?
With its blend of mystery, family betrayal, and international intrigue, "Son of Gubala" promises readers a suspenseful journey from beginning to end.
Nole's third book adds to his growing body of literary work. His previous title, "Shared Poison: A Tale of Relationships, Privilege, Betrayal, and Murder in Snow Hill", is also available to readers.
The Maryland District AAU congratulates McCarroll Nole on this latest accomplishment and thanks him for his continued contributions to our organization. We are proud to recognize his work both as a dedicated AAU volunteer and as a talented storyteller.
