Thomas "TC" Caviness Joins the Maryland District AAU Team!
We are pleased to welcome Thomas "TC" Caviness, to our Maryland District AAU family!
Caviness, the Founder of the Maryland Hoopmasters, had a vision in 2001 to bring AAU National Travel Baseketball to Carroll County MD. Under his leadership, over 185 players have moved on to play college basketball, from Jr/Community College to Division 1 Basketball. Hundreds more have moved beyond basketball to College, enlisted in our Armed Forces or joined the workforce and became active contributors in our society.
"We're very excited to have someone with Coach Caviness' vision, experience and enthusiasm take on a key leadershhip position within our organization," says MD AAU Governor Ben DuBose. "TC's drive, skills and tenacity will, without a doubt, elevate the Maryland AAU Girls Basketball Program - both on the National and International stage!"
Caviness' responsibilities for the Girls Basketball program are effective immediately.

The 2022 WORLD Championship and Classic finals are over! Everyone played hard and had a great time! Many challenging contests and lots of team efforts. There were truly no losers!.Great Coaches, Staff and supportive guests made this epic four-day event a success!
There were so many phenomenal, talented athletes, displayed fantastic basketball skills, and these guys are only seven and eight years old!

MD Tournament POSTPONED
The 2022 Maryland District Boys Basketball Tournament has been temporarily postponed.
The rescheduled tournament date(s) will be announced so CHECK BACK OFTEN!
Update on AAU CORONAVIRUS
ALL Maryland AAU Events are cancelled for the next three weeks!
In light of the ongoing developments as a result of COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”), the AAU is temporarily suspending ALL AAU events, for the next 3 weeks, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
The AAU’s first priority is the safety and welfare of all of our athletes, coaches and families. The AAU will continue to monitor the situation on a national, regional, state and local level. We will keep all of our AAU members updated as the situation evolves.THANK YOU!
