2021 7-U, 8-U & 2nd Grade Boys Basketball WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Are Officially Coming To Maryland!!!

We are pleased to announce the 7-Under, 8-Under and 2nd Grade Boys Basketball WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP tournaments, which were previously delayed due to the pandemic, have been rescheduled and returning to Maryland!

These games will be held at the McDaniel College Gill Center Gymnasium in Westminster, MD. between July 2nd - 5th. DEADLINE TO REGISTER: JUNE 6th!

2019 Maryland AAU Awards Banquet Honors Outstanding AAU Members!

AAU President and CEO Dr. Roger Goudy was honored as the Keynote Speaker for our 34th Maryland AAU District Sports Awards Banquet on Sunday, Nov. 3rd. The District is one of the top 15 AAU Districts in participation numbers annually, hosting multiple sports programs including basketball, baseball, football, jump rope, softball, swimming, volleyball and track and field, and more!

Shatzer Captures Gold at Junior Olympics!!!

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Madison Shatzer, 11, of the Hagerstown Area Summer Swimming program, placed first in the 100-meter butterfly in 1:19.65 in the girls 11-12 division at the AAU Junior Olympics in Greensboro, N.C.

The 2019 CMSL Division Six Championship Photos Are Online!

The top swimmers in the league competing against each other in their best events! Several records were broken this year too! This year's meet was again held at Chartwell Country Club in Severna Park, Maryland on July 27, 2019. We were fortunate to have great weather, great swims, and as usual a meet well-staffed by the collective efforts of families across our league.

New Title for Maryland District AAU Member: MR. MAYOR!

The Maryland District AAU is excited to announce that one of our own, The Honorable Bernard “Jack” Young, officially became the 51st MAYOR OF BALTIMORE CITY on Thursday, May 2, 2019!

Mayor Young has been a long-time member and supporter of the MD AAU, serving in various positions over many years: Chairman, District Legislative Committee; Honorary Boys Basketball Commissioner, Boys Basketball Staff Member and the MD AAU Awards Banquet Planning Committee.

The MD District AAU leadership, Staff and volunteers are all proud of you Mayor Young! We wish the very best for you as Mayor of Baltimore City and in all future endeavors!

Let's Get Ready To RUMBLE!!!

It's On and it's HOT! The 2019 MD Boys Basketball Championship Tournaments start this weekend!  "I have great expectations for a terrific series this year," says AAU Governor Ben DuBose. "Many talented athletes and great coaches are ready and waiting to go at it!  It's really exciting to know that many of these athletes will go on to become great high school, college and professional basketball players."

Good Luck to all the participating teams this year, and remember: play your best, but most of all - HAVE FUN and ENJOY THE GAME!

MD AAU & Mercy Seat Church and Ministries Distribute Free School Supplies

8-26-18 BALTIMORE - As part of combined community outreach programs, the Maryland District AAU, along with Mercy Seat Church and Ministries distributed free school supplies to residents in East Baltimore yesterday. "We know how financially difficult it can be for some families this time of year," said Rev. Antoinette DuBose, 1st Lt. Governor of the MD AAU and Pastor of the Mercy Seat Church. "Our church, and the AAU saw a need and we found a way to help."

Free book bags, back packs, pens, pencils and a host of donated supplies, along with free food and beverages, were distributed during this event.

It's the FINAL DAY of Championship Play!!

What an exciting week we've had here in Westminster, full of geat moments and great memories - and it's not over yet! We'll post more exciting photos of the today's competition and Award Winners!

Congratulations to those teams that qualified to compete in this years events and to those teams that battled their way to todays final games!
