History In The Making: Md. District AAU Hosts National Basketball Tournament

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — For the first time ever, the Maryland
District AAU is hosting a national basketball tournament. It’s
happening this summer on the Eastern Shore.
Mary Bubala reports it will showcase some of the youngest
talent across the nation and here at home.
It’s never happened before. Some of the youngest players
in the game will take the court this summer as the AAU
Maryland District hosts the national championship in Salisbury.
ON TO NATIONALS!
The 2016 Maryland District Boys Basketball District Championships concluded on Sunday, May 15.
We want to thank all of the organizations, coaches, managers, players, parents, and players for their participation and support.
Teams are now preparing to travel to Nationals where they will compete against the best competition in the country.
The stiff competition in the District Tournament has certainly helped sharpen your skills. We wish you safe travels and much success.
